What this tour is

A day in Budapest with a private driver, a premium car and a guide, built around what you want rather than around a route. Maximum six people, which is the vehicle’s limit.

This is the tour for people whose constraint is time and comfort rather than budget: you do not walk between sights unless you want to, you are not standing on a tram in August, and the day reshapes itself if you change your mind at lunch.

What is different about it

The car. You are collected from your hotel and the car stays with you. Between Buda Castle and Heroes’ Square that is the difference between forty minutes and eight.

The pacing. A normal walking tour has a route because it has to. With a driver, an hour spent somewhere unexpectedly interesting costs you nothing later.

Access. Where interiors need tickets — the Parliament, the Opera House, a particular bath — we handle the arranging in advance rather than queuing on the day. Ticket costs themselves are separate.

Discretion. Some of what makes this worth the money is not spectacular. It is a table being available, a driver waiting where you left him, and nobody telling you it is time to move on.

A day might look like

Morning on Castle Hill without the climb. A late breakfast somewhere that is not on the way to anywhere. Across to Pest for the Parliament and Andrássy. Lunch that takes as long as it takes. The afternoon somewhere you decided on over lunch — a bath, a gallery, the Jewish Quarter, a wine cellar. Back to the hotel to change, and out again for the lit city if you want it.

Or something completely different. That is the point.

Price is for the group, up to six people, not per person.
Duration is a full day in practice — tell us the hours you want and we will build to them.
One week’s notice minimum, because the car, the driver and any interior bookings all need arranging properly.
Entrance fees, meals and drinks are not included. We will be straight with you about what things cost before you commit to them.
