Which of the two
The VIP day has a fixed price and a fixed shape: a private driver, a premium car, a guide, and a day that reshapes itself as you go. Take it when the constraint is time and comfort rather than budget.
A custom tour has neither — it is designed from scratch around a subject, a constraint or an occasion, and priced once we know what it involves. Take it when none of the twelve standard tours fits what you're after.
Both are arranged in conversation rather than through the website checkout, and both need about a week's notice. If you tell us what you have in mind we'll say which one gives you more for the money — including when the answer is a standard walking tour costing a fraction as much.
