Picking a theme

These work best as a second or third tour, once you have a sense of the city's shape. Each follows a single thread properly rather than touching on several.

Food if you plan trips around what you'll eat — it is also the least physically demanding thing we run. Baths if you intend to visit one and want to pick the right one; Budapest sits on around 120 thermal springs and the four main baths are genuinely different from each other. Night for the lit city and the photographs, which is what Budapest is most famous for. Christmas markets only between late November and early January, for obvious reasons.
